If you’re like me, you usually have a podcast playing in your earbuds while you draw, cook, exercise, or just pace around the house. I wanted to share with you some of my favorite podcast finds from this year, so over the next few weeks I’ll post a few of my favorites here on the blog.
The first one is not a new podcast, but it’s totally worth going back and listening to the episodes. Magic Lessons was a podcast by Liz Glibert (NY Times Bestselling Author of tons of incredible books like Eat, Pray, Love and Big Magic). The podcast uses the principles in her book Big Magic to help real life creators get through tough creative blocks.
You’ll hear everyone from telemarketers who want to start writing short stories to bestselling authors who share their own methods for overcoming creative blocks. I absolutely loved this podcast and was so sad to see it end! Luckily the archives are still available here.
I found this podcast when I was in a particularly distressing creative drought, and I know the tips and advice in this podcast helped me get over the hump and start creating again.
